Hobbies/Interests: As much as I enjoy spending time in nature, I appreciate good performances, such as ballet, musicals, and classical recitals. I’m a huge fan of the NY Times, NPR, and PBS. I’m always looking for good nonfiction books to read and any cultural and culinary opportunities that will teach me a thing or two about the world I’m yet to discover.
Why Sparrow? - As an IMG, I didn’t get to do audition rotations on any of the programs I applied to, which made it especially challenging for me to get a true sense of what each program was like. To me, the entire matching process was just like dating. As the saying goes, you just know when you meet the right person. And Sparrow Family Medicine felt like a “right” fit for me from the get-go, even though my first personal encounter with the program was a virtual interview. I found the vibes of the faculty members and senior residents to be accepting and nurturing, which signaled me that I would be able to grow professionally in a safe, reliable environment. So, I took a leap of faith and moved from South Korea for this program, and the rest is history.
