Hobbies/interests: I am a massive sports fanatic (football is my main sport). Even if I am not paying attention, I generally always have ESPN playing in the background. Additionally, growing up the son of a vocalist and pianist, I find an appreciation for all types of music. As the Grateful Dead say, “If you get confused, listen to the music play”.

Why Sparrow: When applying to residency programs, one of the most important (and difficult) aspects is being able to identify a program in which you see yourself effectively developing in. In order for me to answer that question, I had to think about how I was personally developed growing up. Being raised by a single, and beyond strong mother I garnered a very high appreciation of the successes that are fostered from women in leadership positions. Following all my interactions with Sparrow during the interview season, my initial question had been answered thoroughly. I had no doubt this was the best environment for my development.
